Marion Wilson (artist)

Marion Wilson (born 1969) is an American artist known for her large-scale, site-specific installations and sculptures that explore themes of architectural space, memory, and the human experience. Her work often incorporates repurposed materials, highlighting the history and resonance of the objects themselves. Wilson received her BFA from Washington University in St. Louis and her MFA from Yale University School of Art. She has exhibited widely in the United States and internationally, including at venues such as the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), the Chinati Foundation, and the Storefront for Art and Architecture. Wilson's practice emphasizes the interplay between art, architecture, and the built environment, creating immersive experiences for viewers. She currently lives and works in Richmond, Virginia, where she also teaches at Virginia Commonwealth University.
