Tweaker (band)

Tweaker was an American industrial rock band, formed in 1998 by Chris Vrenna. Vrenna, previously a member of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, was the sole permanent member and songwriter for the project. Tweaker operated primarily as a studio project, with Vrenna collaborating with a rotating cast of guest musicians and vocalists.

The band released three studio albums: The Attraction to All Things Uncertain (2001), 2 a.m. Wakeup Call (2004), and Call the Time Eternity (2012).

Tweaker's music blended industrial rock, electronic music, and ambient textures. Vocals were often provided by guest artists, including David Sylvian, Jonathan Davis (of Korn), Robert Smith (of The Cure), and Dez Cadena. The band’s sound was characterized by intricate programming, distorted guitars, and atmospheric soundscapes.

Although primarily a studio endeavor, Tweaker occasionally performed live shows, typically with Vrenna supported by a selection of the artists who contributed to the albums. Following the release of Call the Time Eternity, Tweaker became largely inactive, with Vrenna focusing on other projects, including film scoring and sound design.
