Lees baronets of Blackrock (1804)
The Lees baronets of Blackrock were a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom, created on 24 June 1804 for Sir John Lees. The title became extinct upon the death of the fourth Baronet in 1892.
Sir John Lees, 1st Baronet (1740-1811) was Secretary to the Post Office in Ireland. He was succeeded by his son, Sir Harcourt Lees, 2nd Baronet (1776-1852), a controversial clergyman known for his vehemently anti-Catholic writings and speeches. Sir Harcourt was succeeded by his son, Sir John Lees, 3rd Baronet (1816-1868), who served as a captain in the 61st Regiment. The title then passed to his son, Sir John Lees, 4th Baronet (1843-1892), upon whose death the baronetcy became extinct.
