Jasień (river)

The Jasień is a small river located in central Poland, flowing primarily through the city of Łódź. It is a left-bank tributary of the Ner river, which in turn flows into the Warta. The river's length is approximately 25 kilometers.

The Jasień's course is significantly altered in its lower reaches due to urban development. Large portions of the river are canalized and flow underground, particularly within the most densely populated areas of Łódź. Historical industry located along its banks contributed to significant pollution of the river. Efforts are ongoing to improve the water quality and restore more natural conditions in certain sections.
