Boreham

Boreham is a village and civil parish in the Chelmsford district of Essex, England. It is located approximately six miles northeast of Chelmsford city centre and lies close to the A12 trunk road.

Historically, Boreham has been an agricultural village. Significant Roman remains have been found in the area, indicating Roman settlement. The name "Boreham" is believed to derive from Old English, possibly meaning "the homestead on the bower" or "the homestead near the hill."

Notable features of Boreham include Boreham House, a Grade I listed building and a Palladian mansion built in the 18th century. It has a rich history and has been used for various purposes, including as a school and a business centre.
