Huddersfield West (UK Parliament constituency)

Huddersfield West was a parliamentary constituency in West Yorkshire, England. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

History

The constituency was created for the 1918 general election, primarily from parts of the existing Huddersfield constituency. It was abolished for the 1950 general election.

Boundaries

The constituency comprised a portion of the County Borough of Huddersfield. Its boundaries varied slightly during its existence, but generally covered the western areas of the town.
