HMS Sabre (H18)
HMS Sabre (H18) was a S-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. Built by Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Greenock, she was launched on 27 March 1918 and completed in June 1919.
As part of the S-class, Sabre was designed to provide a fast, well-armed escort. She served primarily during the interwar period. Her duties involved patrol work, fleet exercises, and occasional deployments to foreign stations.
During World War II, Sabre served in a variety of roles. She performed convoy escort duties, protecting merchant ships from U-boat attacks in the Atlantic and other sea lanes. She also participated in anti-submarine warfare patrols.
Sabre was scrapped in 1937 at Rosyth.
