Nugatota

Nugatota, also occasionally spelled as Nugatota, is a small town located in the Kegalle District of the Sabaragamuwa Province in Sri Lanka. It is primarily known as a rural agricultural community. The town is situated near the larger town of Mawanella and is connected by local road networks. The economy of Nugatota is largely dependent on agriculture, with paddy rice, tea, rubber, and other cash crops being the primary products. The population consists mainly of Sinhalese people. Nugatota lacks significant industrial development and retains a relatively traditional Sri Lankan village atmosphere. Access to amenities is often through nearby Mawanella.
