Henry Worsley (diplomat)
Henry Worsley (born circa 1768, died 1841) was a British diplomat and politician. He served as Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to the King of Sardinia from 1825 to 1833. Prior to this appointment, Worsley served as a Member of Parliament for Newtown (Isle of Wight) between 1790 and 1796. He was also High Sheriff of the Isle of Wight in 1822. Details of his early life and parentage remain somewhat obscure. His diplomatic role in Turin involved navigating the complex political landscape of post-Napoleonic Europe, with a focus on maintaining British interests and fostering stability in the region. He was succeeded in his post in Turin by Augustus Foster.
