HMAS Success (H02)

HMAS Success (H02) was a light cruiser of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Originally built for the Royal Navy as HMS Clio, she was transferred to the RAN in 1920.

Success was one of six light cruisers of the modified Birmingham class, also known as the Chatham class, built by the United Kingdom for the Royal Navy. She served primarily in Australian waters during her career. She was commissioned into the RAN on 22 January 1920.

During World War II, Success served on patrol and convoy escort duties, including operating in the Indian Ocean. She was also involved in the search for the German raider Kormoran, which was sunk in a battle with HMAS Sydney.

Success was decommissioned in 1946 and later sold for scrap. She was scrapped in 1956. She earned the battle honour "Pacific 1941-45" for her wartime service.
