Almah (band)

Almah is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 2006 by Edu Falaschi, former vocalist of Angra. Originally conceived as a solo project for Falaschi to explore musical styles outside of Angra's power metal sound, Almah quickly evolved into a full-fledged band with a distinct identity.

Almah's music blends elements of progressive metal, thrash metal, and traditional heavy metal, often incorporating influences from Brazilian music and world music. Lyrically, the band addresses philosophical and social themes.

The band has released several studio albums, including Almah (2006), Fragile Equality (2008), Motion (2011), Unfold (2013), E.V.O (2016), and The Will to Be (2018). Each album showcases Falaschi's powerful vocals and intricate compositions, as well as the individual talents of the band members.

Over the years, Almah has seen several changes in its lineup, with Falaschi remaining the consistent core member and songwriter. The band has toured extensively, both in Brazil and internationally, gaining a dedicated following among metal fans. Following Edu Falaschi's retirement from performing in 2019 due to health issues, the future of Almah remains uncertain, although the existing catalog continues to be appreciated.
