Alumni Hall (University of New England)

Alumni Hall is a historic building located on the Biddeford Campus of the University of New England (UNE) in Biddeford, Maine. Constructed in 1927, it originally served as the gymnasium for St. Francis College, the predecessor institution to UNE on that campus. The building is characterized by its Collegiate Gothic architectural style, featuring a brick facade, arched windows, and stone detailing.

Over the years, Alumni Hall has been adapted for various uses. Following its initial function as a gymnasium, it housed classrooms, administrative offices, and a student center. It has been renovated several times to accommodate the changing needs of the university.

Currently, Alumni Hall serves as a multi-purpose space. It is often used for lectures, special events, performances, and university ceremonies. The building also houses the UNE Alumni Office, connecting current students and faculty with alumni and providing opportunities for engagement and support. As a central location on campus, Alumni Hall plays an important role in fostering a sense of community at the University of New England.
