Jim Field

Jim Field (born 1961) is a British illustrator, character designer, and animation director. He is best known for his collaborations with children's authors, particularly Kes Gray, and has illustrated numerous award-winning and best-selling picture books.

Field's style is characterized by expressive characters, dynamic compositions, and a playful use of color and texture. He often employs mixed media techniques, combining traditional drawing and painting with digital illustration.

Some of his notable works include:

• The Oi! series of books with Kes Gray, including Oi Frog!, Oi Cat!, and Oi Dog!

Field has won several awards for his illustration work, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize and the Booktrust Early Years Award. He also works in animation, directing short films and commercials. His work is recognizable for its humor and distinctive character designs, appealing to both children and adults. He studied art at Shrewsbury College of Arts & Technology.
