Carlos Quintana (baseball)

Carlos Quintana is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for four different teams during his career: the Boston Red Sox (2002), the Texas Rangers (2003-2004), the New York Mets (2005), and the Florida/Miami Marlins (2006-2007, 2009).

Quintana was originally signed by the Boston Red Sox as an international free agent in 1995. He made his major league debut for the Red Sox in 2002. He was traded to the Texas Rangers the following year. After stints with the Mets and Marlins, Quintana retired from professional baseball after the 2009 season. He primarily served as a relief pitcher throughout his MLB career. His career statistics include an ERA over 5.00.
