William Moore (Australian politician)
William Moore (1868 – 1940) was an Australian politician. He served as a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council for the Central Province from 1914 to 1920 and again from 1926 to 1932.
Born in Victoria, Moore moved to Western Australia and became involved in mining and later pastoral industries. He entered politics representing the Labor Party. His time in the Legislative Council was marked by debates surrounding land tenure, resource management, and industrial relations. He was a strong advocate for the rights of workers and farmers. During his parliamentary career, he served on various committees related to mining, agriculture, and finance. He unsuccessfully contested a seat in the Western Australian Legislative Assembly before being elected to the Legislative Council. He retired from politics in 1932.
