Sergio Campana (footballer)
Sergio Campana (born January 1, 1934, in Milan, Italy) is a former Italian footballer who played primarily as a defender. He spent the majority of his professional career with AC Milan, where he was a key member of their squad during the 1950s and early 1960s.
Campana joined AC Milan in 1952 and quickly established himself in the first team. He was known for his strong tackling, aerial ability, and leadership qualities. He contributed to Milan's Serie A title wins in 1955, 1957, 1959, and 1962. He also played in the European Cup final against Real Madrid in 1958, which Milan lost in extra time.
Campana retired from professional football in 1964. After retiring, he remained involved in football, working in coaching roles at youth levels. He is remembered as a reliable and respected defender who served AC Milan with distinction for many years. His contributions helped solidify Milan's position as one of Italy's leading football clubs during his era.
