Dashtobod

Dashtobod is a city located in the Jizzakh Region of Uzbekistan. It lies approximately 20 kilometers southeast of the city of Jizzakh. Dashtobod is the administrative center of Dustlik District.

The city was founded in 1974 and received city status in 1986. Its economy is largely based on agriculture and related industries, including cotton processing. The population is predominantly Uzbek, with smaller populations of other ethnic groups.
