Hidden Faces (American TV series)
Hidden Faces was an American daytime soap opera that aired on NBC from January 6, 1969, to June 26, 1970. The series focused on the lives and relationships of the Brent family and their associates in the fictional town of Hampton, Connecticut.
The show was created by Irving Vendig and centered around the mysteries and secrets that lurked beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary lives. Key characters included Ann Brent (played by various actresses during its run), a young woman trying to navigate complex family dynamics and romantic entanglements, and her mother, Helen Brent, who held many secrets of her own.
Hidden Faces distinguished itself from other daytime dramas of the time through its emphasis on suspense and intrigue, incorporating elements of mystery and crime into its storylines. While it garnered a dedicated, albeit small, audience, the show faced challenges in attracting significant viewership and was ultimately cancelled after a year and a half on the air. Despite its relatively short run, Hidden Faces is remembered by soap opera historians for its unique approach to the genre.
