Joseph Glynn (politician)

Joseph Glynn (1869 – 1951) was an Irish politician. He was a Cumann na nGaedheal and later a Fine Gael Teachta Dála (TD) for Galway.

Born in County Galway, Glynn was initially elected to Dáil Éireann as a Cumann na nGaedheal TD for the Galway constituency at the 1923 general election. He retained his seat at the June 1927 and September 1927 general elections. He was re-elected as a Fine Gael TD for Galway at the 1932 general election. He lost his seat at the 1933 general election and did not regain it.

Glynn was a prominent figure in Galway politics during the formative years of the Irish Free State. His political career was focused on representing the interests of his constituents and contributing to the development of the new nation. His involvement with Cumann na nGaedheal and later Fine Gael places him within the conservative political tradition of Ireland.
