Tyler Houston
Tyler Houston (born April 6, 1971) is a former professional baseball player. He primarily played as a third baseman and catcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1996 to 2002.
Houston was drafted by the Atlanta Braves with the second overall pick in the 1989 MLB draft. After spending several years in the Braves' minor league system, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in 1996, where he made his major league debut.
Over the course of his MLB career, Houston played for the Brewers (1996-1999), Chicago Cubs (2000), Cleveland Indians (2001), Los Angeles Dodgers (2002), and Chicago White Sox (2002).
While never becoming a consistent everyday player, Houston was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions. His career statistics include a batting average of .245 with 23 home runs and 105 RBIs in 337 games played.
