Red Rocks (horse)
Red Rocks was an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse best known for his performances in international long-distance turf races.
Foaled in 2003, Red Rocks was sired by Galileo out of the mare Pharmacist. He was trained by Brian Meehan.
Red Rocks achieved significant success, most notably winning the Breeders' Cup Turf in 2006 at Churchill Downs and again in 2007 at Monmouth Park. He is one of only a few horses to have won the Breeders' Cup Turf twice.
Other notable races in which Red Rocks competed include the Epsom Derby, where he finished fourth in 2006, and several Group 1 races in Europe. He also traveled extensively, competing in races in Dubai and Hong Kong.
Red Rocks was retired from racing in 2009 and subsequently stood as a stallion.
