Alan Tait
Alan Tait (born 1 August 1964) is a Scottish former rugby union footballer who primarily played as a centre. He is best known for his international career representing both Scotland and the British and Irish Lions.
Tait began his rugby career playing for Kelso RFC. He gained significant recognition for his explosive running and strong tackling.
He made his debut for Scotland in 1987 and went on to earn 27 caps for his country. He was a member of the Scotland squad that won the Grand Slam in the 1990 Five Nations Championship.
Tait was selected for the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa in 1997, where he played in all three test matches. This cemented his status as a highly respected and versatile player.
Following his playing career, Tait has been involved in coaching and various other roles within the rugby community. He is considered one of Scotland's rugby greats.
