Tuplice
Tuplice is a village in the Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Tuplice. The village lies approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) west of Żary and 59 km (37 mi) south-west of Zielona Góra.
The village has historical significance as it was the location of a border crossing between Poland and Germany before Poland joined the Schengen Area. The border crossing linked Tuplice with the German town of Forst (Lausitz).
Administratively, Gmina Tuplice is a rural gmina covering an area characterized by agriculture and forestry. The gmina contains several villages in addition to Tuplice itself.
