Air Atlantique, based in Nantes, France, was a commercial aviation company specializing in maritime surveillance, pollution control, fisheries patrol, and general charter services. Founded in 1971 as Atlantic Air Transport, it later rebranded as Air Atlantique. The airline operated a diverse fleet, including aircraft configured for specialized tasks like oil spill detection and atmospheric research. Air Atlantique held contracts with various governmental and private organizations, providing critical aerial support for environmental monitoring and law enforcement activities over coastal regions and open seas. The company ceased operations in 2016.
