Bill Fischer (baseball)

Bill Fischer (born October 19, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois; died May 27, 2018, in Evergreen Park, Illinois) was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago White Sox (1956-1959), Kansas City Athletics (1961), Pittsburgh Pirates (1961-1964), and Washington Senators (1964-1966).

Fischer was a right-handed pitcher. His career spanned 11 seasons, including parts of eight seasons in the major leagues. Primarily a relief pitcher, he also started games on occasion.

Prior to his major league career, Fischer played in the minor leagues, honing his skills. After retiring from playing, Fischer spent time as a pitching coach, including roles with minor league teams.
