Zbrzyca (river)
The Zbrzyca is a river in northern Poland, a right tributary of the Brda. It flows through the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the historic region of Kashubia.
The river's source is near the village of Zbrzyca in the Chojnice County. It flows generally south, passing through several lakes, including Lake Dybrzyk and Lake Charzykowy. The Zbrzyca is known for its relatively clean water and scenic course through forests and wetlands. It is a popular destination for canoeing and kayaking.
The Zbrzyca is part of the Brda river system, which ultimately drains into the Vistula River and then into the Baltic Sea. The river's length is approximately 64 kilometers (40 miles).
The Zbrzyca river also lends its name to the surrounding Zbrzyca Landscape Park (Park Krajobrazowy Zaborski), an area protected for its natural beauty and ecological significance. The park encompasses large swathes of forest and numerous lakes, making it a haven for wildlife and a popular spot for recreation.
