Reminisce (rapper)

Reminisce, born Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru (also known as Alaga Ibile and Daddy Remi), is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. He primarily performs in Yoruba and English. He is known for his indigenous rap style, blending Yoruba proverbs and idioms with contemporary hip-hop beats.

Reminisce rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene in the late 2000s. He gained significant recognition with his hit singles and subsequent albums, which often explore themes of street life, success, and Nigerian culture.

He has released several studio albums, including Book of Rap Stories (2012), Alaga Ibile (2013), Baba Hafusa (2015), El Hadj (2016), Vibes and Insha Allah (2020), and Alaga Ibile (The Movie) (2024).

Reminisce has collaborated with numerous prominent Nigerian artists and has received several awards and nominations for his work. Beyond his music career, he has also ventured into acting, appearing in Nollywood films. He has served as a brand ambassador for various companies in Nigeria.
