USS Baltimore (1777)

The USS Baltimore was a 12-gun brigantine that served in the Continental Navy during the American Revolutionary War. Commissioned in 1777, she was primarily tasked with patrolling the waters off the coast of North America, intercepting British merchant vessels and disrupting enemy supply lines. Her operational history was relatively short. The Baltimore was captured by the British frigate HMS Perseus on August 16, 1777.
