Ed Jones (racing driver)

Ed Jones (born February 12, 1995) is an Emirati-British professional racing driver. He is best known for his participation in IndyCar Series and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship racing.

Jones began his racing career in karting before transitioning to single-seater racing in 2011. He competed in various series, including the InterSteps Championship and the British Formula Renault Championship.

His breakthrough came in 2016 when he won the Indy Lights championship with Carlin, earning him a scholarship to compete in the 2017 IndyCar Series season. He raced for Dale Coyne Racing, achieving a third-place finish at the Indianapolis 500 in his rookie year.

Following his impressive rookie season, Jones moved to Chip Ganassi Racing in 2018. He later joined Ed Carpenter Racing for the 2019 season.

In 2021, Jones returned to Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser-Sullivan. He has also competed in sports car racing, including the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
