Peter Murphy (musician)
Peter John Joseph Murphy (born 11 July 1957) is an English singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as the vocalist of the goth rock band Bauhaus. Following Bauhaus's dissolution in 1983, Murphy embarked on a solo career, releasing several albums that explored diverse musical styles, including art rock, alternative rock, and electronic music.
Early Life and Bauhaus:
Born in Northampton, England, Murphy formed Bauhaus in 1978 with guitarist Daniel Ash, bassist David J (David Haskins), and drummer Kevin Haskins.
