The Plainsman (1966 film)

The Plainsman (1966 film) is a 1966 American Western film directed by David Lowell Rich. It is a remake of the 1936 Cecil B. DeMille film of the same name. The film stars Don Murray as Wild Bill Hickok, Guy Stockwell as Buffalo Bill Cody, and Abby Dalton as Calamity Jane.

The plot revolves around Hickok and Cody's efforts to maintain peace and order in the Dakota Territory in the wake of the American Civil War. They face opposition from unscrupulous gunrunners who are supplying weapons to Native American tribes, fueling conflict and endangering settlers.
