Father Christmas (film series)

The Father Christmas film series is a British animated series produced by Illuminated Films, based on the books by Raymond Briggs. It comprises two television specials: Father Christmas (1991) and Father Christmas and the Snowman (2002).

Father Christmas (1991) depicts a grumpy, working-class Father Christmas who complains about the hardships of his job, such as dealing with demanding children and problematic weather conditions, yet ultimately remains committed to delivering presents on Christmas Eve. Like its predecessor, it is animated in a style consistent with Briggs' work and is known for its gentle storytelling.
