Ben Johnson (pitcher)

Benjamin "Ben" Johnson is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for one season, 2005, with the San Diego Padres.

Born on February 28, 1981, Johnson was drafted by the Padres in the 42nd round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft. He pitched in the minor leagues for several years before making his major league debut on May 21, 2005.

Johnson appeared in 12 games for the Padres, all in relief. He had a record of 0-0 with a 5.40 earned run average (ERA). In 11.2 innings pitched, he allowed 7 earned runs, 13 hits, and 6 walks, while striking out 5 batters.
