Made in England (Elton John album)

Made in England is the twenty-fourth studio album by English musician Elton John, released in 1995. It was the last studio album to feature the original lineup of the Elton John Band, including Davey Johnstone, Dee Murray (who died before the album's release, though he did play on "Pain"), Nigel Olsson, and Ray Cooper. The album's title is a tongue-in-cheek reference to John's British identity and heritage, contrasting with his increasingly international fame and lifestyle.

The album features a more organic and acoustic sound compared to some of John's earlier, more flamboyant albums. It includes the singles "Believe", "Made in England", "Please", and "Lies". "Believe" reached the top 15 in both the US and the UK. Lyrical themes explore love, loss, and reflection.

Made in England was generally well-received by critics and commercially successful, reaching platinum status in the US. It is considered by some fans to be one of Elton John's more personal and reflective albums of his later career. It peaked at number 3 on the UK Albums Chart and number 13 on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
