Frontenac (Quebec provincial electoral district, 1912–1973)
Frontenac was a provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada, that existed from 1912 to 1973. It was located in the Eastern Townships region of Quebec.
The district was created in 1912 from parts of the Compton and Mégantic electoral districts. It encompassed areas within and around the modern-day regional county municipality of Le Granit.
Throughout its existence, Frontenac was generally considered a conservative riding, often electing members from the Union Nationale party. Notable politicians who represented Frontenac include prominent figures in Quebec politics during that era.
In 1973, the Frontenac electoral district was abolished. Its territory was redistributed primarily into the Mégantic-Compton and Beauce-Sud electoral districts as part of a broader electoral map reform.
