Todd Wilson (organist)
Todd Wilson is an American concert organist, church musician, and educator. He is widely recognized for his exceptional improvisational skills, particularly in the style of silent film accompaniment.
Wilson holds degrees from Baldwin-Wallace College and the Eastman School of Music. He has held positions at several prominent churches, including Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland, and is currently Director of Music and Organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo, Ohio. He also serves as Head of the Organ Department at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
As a concert organist, Wilson has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally. He is frequently featured at conventions of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and other professional organizations.
His silent film accompaniment is a particularly notable aspect of his career. He tours regularly, accompanying classic silent films on both theatre organs and pipe organs. He is known for his inventive and sensitive approach to this art form.
