Legacies (TV series)

Legacies is an American fantasy drama television series created by Julie Plec, serving as a spin-off of both The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. It premiered on The CW on October 25, 2018, and concluded on June 16, 2022, after four seasons.

The series follows Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell), the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, who is descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines. The series is set at the Salvatore School for the Young & Gifted, a boarding school for supernatural beings, where Hope and other young witches, vampires, and werewolves learn to control their abilities and navigate the challenges of their existence.

The main storylines revolve around the students facing threats from various supernatural creatures and forces, often culminating in battles and strategic alliances. The series explores themes of identity, belonging, morality, and the struggle between good and evil within the supernatural community. The central cast also includes Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), the headmaster of the Salvatore School, and students such as Josie Saltzman (Kaylee Bryant), Lizzie Saltzman (Jenny Boyd), MG (Quincy Fouse), Rafael Waithe (Peyton Alex Smith), and Landon Kirby (Aria Shahghasemi).

The series received generally mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its diverse cast and exploration of teen drama elements, while also receiving criticism for its monster-of-the-week format and inconsistent writing.
