Timothy Johnson (fighter)

Timothy Johnson (born March 5, 1985) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He competes in the Heavyweight division. Johnson is known for his powerful wrestling and striking abilities. He has previously competed for Bellator MMA, where he was a one-time Heavyweight title challenger, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Johnson began his professional MMA career in 2010, quickly building a reputation on the regional circuit. He signed with the UFC in 2015, making his debut against Shamil Abdurakhimov. During his UFC tenure, he fought a number of notable opponents.

After leaving the UFC, Johnson joined Bellator MMA in 2018. He made an immediate impact, securing several impressive victories and earning a shot at the Bellator Heavyweight World Championship against Ryan Bader in 2021. Although he was unsuccessful in capturing the title, he continues to be a significant competitor in the division.

Johnson's fighting style is characterized by a combination of wrestling, ground and pound, and increasingly refined striking. He holds a number of victories by both knockout and submission, demonstrating a well-rounded skillset.
