WRSP-TV

WRSP-TV is a Fox-affiliated television station licensed to Springfield, Illinois, United States, serving the Central Illinois region. It broadcasts a high-definition digital signal on VHF channel 10 (or virtual channel 55 via PSIP) from a transmitter near Mechanicsburg.

The station is owned by Nexstar Media Group. WCIA (channel 3, a CBS affiliate also licensed to Champaign) operates WRSP-TV under a shared services agreement (SSA). Both stations share studios on South Neil Street in Champaign. WRSP-TV functions as a semi-satellite of WCIA, airing nearly all the same syndicated programming. WRSP-TV also simulcasts WCIA's local news, but with some differences in timing or packaging.

WRSP-TV originally signed on as a WB affiliate. Prior to the launch of WRSP-TV, the Central Illinois region received The WB through a cable-only affiliate, "WBUI". When The WB merged with UPN to form The CW, WRSP-TV became a Fox affiliate. The market’s WB and later CW affiliation moved to WCIX.

The station's programming primarily consists of Fox network shows, syndicated programs, and rebroadcasts of WCIA's news. It also airs local high school sports programming at times.
