Tiger Rose (1923 film)

Tiger Rose is a 1923 American silent Western film directed by Sidney Franklin and starring Lenore Ulric. It is based on the 1917 play of the same name by Willard Mack, who also wrote the screenplay.

The film tells the story of Tiger Rose, a wild and alluring woman living in the Canadian wilderness who falls in love with Bruce Nelson, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer. She is caught between her love for him and her loyalty to her outlaw father, Hector. The plot revolves around Tiger Rose's attempts to protect Bruce from her father's criminal activities and the ensuing conflicts that arise from their differing loyalties. Ultimately, the film explores themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption in the unforgiving landscape of the Canadian frontier.

The 1923 version is a remake of a 1916 film with the same title, which also starred Lenore Ulric. While both films share the same source material and star, the 1923 version is considered a more elaborate production with larger sets and a greater emphasis on visual spectacle.
