Deriivka
Deriivka is a village located in the Kremenchuk Raion of Poltava Oblast, Ukraine. It is situated on the left bank of the Dnieper River. The village is part of the Pishchanske rural community (hromada).
Deriivka has a history dating back several centuries. Like many settlements in the region, its history is intertwined with that of Cossack settlements and the broader historical context of Ukraine under various empires and powers.
The population of Deriivka is primarily engaged in agriculture and related activities. The fertile lands surrounding the village support the cultivation of crops and animal husbandry.
Deriivka, like other villages in Ukraine, has experienced social and economic changes following Ukrainian independence in 1991. Challenges include rural depopulation and the need for infrastructure development.
Culturally, Deriivka retains elements of traditional Ukrainian village life, including folk customs, celebrations, and distinctive architecture. The local community plays an important role in preserving and promoting this heritage.
