Francis Blundell (MP for Ormskirk)
Francis Blundell (1759-1814) was a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ormskirk from 1780 to 1807. He was the son of William Blundell of Crosby Hall and was educated at Eton College. He entered Parliament at a young age and represented the constituency of Ormskirk, Lancashire, for a considerable period. While in Parliament, he generally supported the government of the day, although his voting record reflects a degree of independence on certain issues. His parliamentary career was relatively uneventful, and he did not hold any significant ministerial offices. He was succeeded as MP for Ormskirk by his son, Charles Robert Blundell.
