History: The station began operations under the ABC network. During the period of martial law declared by President Ferdinand Marcos, DYAC-TV, along with other stations of ABC, were ordered shut down. After the People Power Revolution in 1986, ABC was allowed to resume broadcasting. DYAC-TV was reactivated and returned to the airwaves, carrying ABC's programming.
