Mick Hill (javelin thrower)

Mick Hill (born 19 September 1964 in Leeds, England) is a retired British javelin thrower. He represented Great Britain at three Olympic Games: 1984 (Los Angeles), 1988 (Seoul), and 1992 (Barcelona).

Hill's career highlights include winning a silver medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and a bronze medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. He also competed at multiple World Championships in Athletics, achieving his best result of 4th place in 1993 in Stuttgart.

Hill's personal best throw was 86.94 meters, achieved in 1992. This throw was, for a time, a British record. He retired from professional athletics after the 1998 season. Since retiring, he has been involved in coaching javelin throwing and mentoring young athletes.
