Chaa-Khol

Chaa-Khol is a rural locality (a selo) in the Republic of Tuva, Russia. It is the administrative center of Chaa-Kholsky District. The selo is situated on the Chaa-Khol River, a tributary of the Yenisey River. It is located in a mountainous region characterized by a continental climate with cold winters and relatively warm summers.

The population of Chaa-Khol is primarily Tuvan. The local economy is based largely on agriculture, including animal husbandry (particularly sheep and cattle breeding). Some residents are also involved in small-scale trade and services.
