Jay Malla

Jay Malla (जय मल्ल) was a Malla dynasty ruler of Bhaktapur, a city in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. He ruled during the late 14th and early 15th centuries. Historical records suggest he played a significant role in the cultural and architectural development of Bhaktapur. He is often credited with commissioning or overseeing the construction and renovation of various temples, palaces, and public spaces within the city. Specific details regarding his reign are sometimes subject to historical debate and interpretation. His legacy is primarily visible through the enduring architectural marvels that remain in Bhaktapur today. He was succeeded by his son, Jyotir Malla.
