Galaxy 33

Galaxy 33 is a geostationary communications satellite owned and operated by Intelsat. Part of Intelsat's Galaxy fleet, it is primarily intended to serve North American cable distribution networks. Galaxy 33 provides high-performance broadcast and broadband services, primarily for video content delivery. It utilizes C-band spectrum. Launched in October 2022, Galaxy 33 replaced an older satellite in its orbital slot. Its purpose is to ensure continuity of service for Intelsat's customers and to provide enhanced capabilities for video distribution.
