Log Jammer (Kennywood)
The Log Jammer was a log flume ride located at Kennywood amusement park in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. Operating from 1975 until its closure in 2017, the Log Jammer was a classic example of a traditional log flume attraction. Riders sat in hollowed-out "logs" that were conveyed up a lift hill and then sent down a series of drops, culminating in a larger, splash-filled descent into a pool of water.
The ride was a popular family attraction and a recognizable landmark within the park, noted for its prominent presence on the hillside and the sound of the splashing water. Its two lift hills provided drops of varying heights and splash intensity. Over its four-decade lifespan, it became a nostalgic symbol of Kennywood for many park visitors. After its closure, it was replaced by the Steel Curtain roller coaster.
