Shmuel Katz (artist)
Shmuel Katz (1926-2010) was an Israeli artist, illustrator, cartoonist, and comics artist. Born in Vienna, Austria, he immigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1936. He is known for his work in various Israeli newspapers and magazines, often focusing on political and social commentary.
Katz's artistic output encompassed a range of styles, from realistic illustration to caricatures. He frequently contributed to publications such as Maariv, Haaretz, and Yediot Aharonot. His work often reflected his Zionist convictions and addressed contemporary issues facing Israeli society.
