David Jensen (ice hockey, born 1961)

David Jensen (born May 25, 1961) is a retired American professional ice hockey goaltender. Jensen played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Hartford Whalers, Washington Capitals, and Buffalo Sabres.

Jensen was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft, selected in the fifth round, 95th overall. He made his NHL debut with the Whalers during the 1982-83 season. He was primarily a backup goaltender throughout his career. He played a total of 154 regular season NHL games, recording a goals-against average of 3.84 and a save percentage of .866.

After his NHL career, Jensen played in the International Hockey League (IHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL).
